Dior shows in Lecce

It is a mix of Apulian tradition, craftsmanship and high fashion. After Los Angeles and Marrakech, the Christian Dior fashion show-event arrived for the first time in Italy, in the heart of Salento.
The suggestive Piazza del Duomo in Lecce in mask was the location chosen by the famous French maison to present the Dior Cruise 2021 collection, signed by the artistic director Maria Grazia Chiuri, of Salento’s origins.
A show in which music, dance and fashion blend perfectly, at the center of the fabulous scenography. Dancers, models and musicians, at the same time, gave life to the parade in the Baroque square of the Duomo, redesigned by traditional lights, lights and architecture, typical of patronal feasts, reinterpreted by the artist Marinella Senatore and become contemporary art installations.
Among the guests of the cool summer event in Salento, held behind closed doors due to covid, the influencer Chiara Ferragni, the actress Stefania Rocca with her husband Carlo Capasa, president of the National Fashion Room, as well as the magnate of the LVMH group who owns the Dior brand, Bernard Arnault.
A unique show thanks to the intense interpretations of the Notte della Taranta orchestra, conducted by Paolo Buonvino. To close the evening the performance of Giuliano Sangiorgi, leader of the Negramaro, accompanied by the notes of the piano.
A charismatic artistic project destined to attract Lecce and Salento to the world of high fashion, which has focused the spotlight on the beauty and excellence of our land. A great tribute to the beautiful and incredible craftsmanship of its craftsmen, destined to have a worldwide impact.
